I like Ben, I like the Steelers, but lost respect for him, and it aint because of the helmet thing. I just think that at some point he has used "My Busa" in a sentence.

After reading some posts on this board written by people who start a sentence with "My Busa" just makes a person sound like an idiot.

I hope he is well though.

I'm going to say that I hope things turn out ok for him, BUT

Does anyone else find it ironic that he wears a helmet as a part of his JOB yet he refuses to wear one on a bike?

Granted you have to wear your helmet on the football field, but I'd think that if you had to wear one with 300 lb men coming at you that you'd be smart enough to wear one when there are 3000 lb cars coming at you.

He's actually commented on that, saying that he HAS to wear it on the field...so he does. He doesn't have to do it on the road...so he doesn't. It appears to me that he lets other people be smart for him by laying out rules. If there's no rule against it, he does it, despite warnings from his coach and others.

Again, he was dumb. The question is, will he survive this well enough to learn his lesson, continue his career, and stop riding without a helmet (probably will be forced to not ride at all).

Hehe, Arai should offer him an endorsement contract. "Don't Let This Happen To YOU."

Tasteless, but effective.

OK, now it comes out that he doesn't have a valid license to operate a motorcycle. He had a learners permit but it expired this past March.
