I'm not crazy about the sharp edges; I think it would look better with smoother styling.

That looks like the 6 Serious I saw in Autoweek. There's an article in it about a M6, I forgot the hp...400 or 500. Yea, 500hp V10. I'll post the article when I find it.

ah ha! here we go...

More than a decade after BMW resigned its original 6 Series coupe to the his tory books, the once-powerful car is on the road to a resurrection.
Produced between 1976 and 1989, the original 5 Series-based model established a supercar-slaying reputation that failed to extend to its replacement, the overweight 8 Series. But in its M635 CSi form, the original car was capable of 0 to 62 mph in six seconds and had a top speed of 150 mph.

M6 = 500bhp 5.0 V10

Like the article says I can see BMW moving away from the big 3's 155mph limit and taking on the top end Porsches

The 6 (e63) will be bigger, I still believe this is the Z5.

this was the original article talking about the 6:

http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content.mv?por...t_code=02988767

you can see that even heavily disguised, the porportions are different... note where the doors end by the rear wheel well on each.

I very much prefer the look of the Z5 to the 6 series but I'm sure an undisguised M6 will be a real visual treat

I like it too.

The roadster must look great!

I hope it's really VERY expensive, then I can console myself with the fact that it's a stupid amount of money to spend on a car

Interesting to see that the base Series 6 3.0 litre develops 240 bhp. Shows how good our S2000s are

Anyone else noticed the basic design similarity to the S2000? Just look at it and imagine the beamer grille not there, lift the wheel arch a fraction, flatten the kinks in the bonnet and wings, make the lights a little larger...... see what I mean?
