I hate the genre (bollywood style) but am actually impressed with the quality of the effects and hot indian women are hot.
With over a billion people there's 3/4 hot women per hot American women. Plus their actresses for the most part only have to look good and dance. Acting is secondary. The interesting thing is that the majority of big names are all a result of nepotism. It's a very inbred business.

Well, I know the woman I am thinking of in particular is from Britain, but holy God in heaven is that woman from Slumdog Millionaire is freaking STUNNING.

The bollywood actress named as the worlds most beautiful woman by one of our magazines a couple years back aint bad either.

I just can't stand musicals.

I never watched Indian movies when I was a kid for that reason, until the actresses started getting HOT. Then I didn't mind so much. Still, like you say, it's a genre that doesn't appeal to everyone, but since they are playing to 1 billion people in India plus much of the middle eastern world, it's a HUGE market.

The US market got a glimpse with slumdog. For instance A.R. Rahman is new here, but in the world he's very famous. Also since 99% (used to be 100%) of the movies are musicals, the music industry is completely tied in with the movie industry as well as the fashion industry. That's why bollywood is now bigger than hollywood.

Dude do you own stock in Bollycrap? You are always pushing it.

IMHO Bollywood is a bunch of low budget copy cat movies that are funded by the mob! Plus more of the girls are nothing special(Other than AR).

AR is a bit pudgy now, her time has passed. I'm digging Priyanka Chopra and Amrita Rao...The best though has to be Bipasha Basu...
