Bonds hit #60 today!!!
Barry hit his 60th today against the Diamondbacks. It puts him on a pace to hit 69 however, through the same amount of games Mark McGwire had 59 when he hit 70. With 21 games left Bonds needs another 10, it is possible but I believe unlikely.
The fact that bonds hit so many homers in so little time is amazing. Keep in mind when Mcgwire hit 70 the Cards weren't in a playoff race like the Giants are which means he's seen a lot less good pitches.
Bonds' next six games will be played in Colorado and Houston. . . Both are great homer hitter parks. . .
If he can get a two or three this weekend against the Rockies, his probability to break the record will go WAY up. . . Personally, I hope he does it. . .
And it would be great to see him in the World Series. . . losing to the Yankees!!!!
