Book boo-boos (a follow-up to Naomi's topic)
For instance, I was reading one of the Spenser books by Robert B. Parker one day, and there was a car chase. Spenser is driving a Ford Probe, and his passenger rolls down the LEFT REAR WINDOW to shoot at the other car.
Aaargh! The story screeches to a halt in my head as I yell (to myself) "Parker, you cretin, you CAN'T roll down the back windows in a Probe, THEY DON'T FREAKIN' OPEN!!!". Does anyone else do this, or is it just me? |
I've noticed this too with some Shadowrun novels I've read. In one instance the author put the wrong name. He put down the name of a girl who had just died, but meant to put down a different name.
It's a bit of a distraction, but you live with it :) There's quite a few inconsistencies in the Harry Potter novels. I've never really noticed them, until I read some website on them. |
