I sure as hell did, and this is what I found. A powerpoint competition.

 

ppt....yuck...I'm not that bored...I'd rather go learn emacs

Boy.. some people are just bored.

 

I hate powerpoint so intensely that it drives me into an uncontrollable murderous rage. Powerpoint is such a worthless crutch for people who are bad at public speaking. If you're bad at it, you should make yourself learn how to do it! Don't keep using a crutch. The challenge should be to learn how to communicate your points VERBALLY while keeping your audience interested. When I give a presentation, if I have to use Powerpoint for anything, I might have 2 slides, and those ONLY for the raw data. I don't used any damn bullet points because it puts your audience to sleep.

Don't even get me started on people who use Powerpoint for everything... They will start sending you powerpoint files to communicate a small list that should have just been typed into the email message itself! Grrrrrr
