I usually only try watching the light to middleweight fights, those tend to be more entertaining. I see alot more heavy weight fights where they are hugging, I think it has more to do with the conditioning of the fighter. Of course there are fighters that are always hugging whether they be light weight or whatever but I think that some fighters are more comfortable being inside while others dont know how to handle a fight in close quarters, and others drop down when someone is coming in and causes a tangle between the two.

I like watching sports (or any other activity, for that matter) in which I've participated and shown a modicum of skill; I can better appreciate the technique and skill on the part of the participants.

Hence, I like watching Tae Kwon Do, but don't care much for boxing.

I like football - college football, in particular - but dislike basketball.

I enjoy baseball if I'm at the park, but not nearly as much on TV (it's too slow generally); I don't like ice hockey.

I love watching volleyball and badminton - two sports that are sadly neglected on TV during the Summer Olympics - but find soccer boring.

At the last Summer Olympics I really enjoyed watching the equestrian sports - something that would have bored me to tears five years ago.

There's not much in the Winter Olympics I find enjoyable, but I'll watch judo in the Summer Olympics.

I really enjoy watching (good) magic performed - especially close-up magic - but would hate to sit through an Olympic track & field meet.

The one notable exception to this is Olympic gymnastics; I enjoy watching it though I've never been much of a gymnast. If I ever get a chance, however, I'd love to learn a (simple) routine on a pommel horse.

5 words: say it to his face

let one of your friends (who knows how) put you in an arm bar or a triangle choke sometime...you'll be tapping faster than you can say PIITB

by the way, for those of you not familiar with wanderlei silva (the one in front), his nickname is "the axe murderer." with good reason.

I wonder who would win: a top boxer like Tyson (in his prime) or Hollyfield vs a guy like Gracie or Silva in a no-rule anything goes fight.

no rules anything goes obviously gives advantage to the guy who trains using more techniques, whereas the boxer can only use his hands. terrible scenario.
