Boycott Abercrombie & Fitch...!!!
I honestly have been in an A&F one time like ten years ago or more when they first started showing up in the malls. All I needed was one trip to know I would never want to own anything made by them. Overpriced is an understatement there. Their marketing team was also smoking mad crack back in the day. I live in Houston and I remember walking into the store and seeing everything on the manequins in like five-layer attire. Whose going to drop $300+ on a 3-5 layer outfit from them especially? Think I will head to Armani Exchange if I want to get bent over that badly for an item(s) of clothing. And looking at their designs you would think one would have to live in Alaska or Canada in order to not burn up outside. Their clothes were all extra thick "quality" cotton or wool and I just kept thinking they had made a mistake and ment to put that store in Maine or something.
I'm not going to comment on the alleged racist implications other than to say that, at WORST, it's just stupid. Racist? Not in my opinion...but they got called out and now they have to be accountable for their idiocy. And they are really stepping up to the plate, I must say...
AF goes back a lot farther than the malls. I recall the store on Post Oak near the Galleria in Houston way back when I was in high school...20 years ago. That store had absolute class, beautiful merchandise of style and utter distinction. The crap they sell now is just that - expensive garbage. Does every Gen X'er want to look like a skatepunk and has never even been on a skateboard? What a joke...
That place is just junk now...I've never step foot in one, but I haven't been there in a good 10 years...walked in, walked right out shaking my head...yuck.
More importantly...why is this thread still in S2000 Talk?

the shirts don't bother me, it's the general laissez faire attitudes our generation and the upcoming ones that worries me to no end. not caring is part of why we saw two freakin' planes fly into the WTC. not caring is part of why we can't carry or having to wait three weeks to purchase arms to protect ourselves when criminals can buy it at a corner and shoot your ass a few hours later.
just my 2 cents.
