Default Budweiser Select - debuts today

Last night Anheuser-Busch held parties all over the country to introduce Budweiser Select. I was performing close-up magic at a bar/restaurant/nightclub in Whittier for three hours last night at one of their parties, and I know another magician in South Dakota who did the same. I made good money, got several contacts for future shows, and the nightclub owner wants to talk about having me there on Friday nights. Cool!

They offered me a bottle as I was leaving, but as I was driving and it's been raining horribly and I hadn't eaten I asked for an unopened bottle to take home. I tried it today at lunch and I have to say that it's not bad. I probably wouldn't drink it over a good German hefeweisen, but I'd certainly take it over most American beers.

Today is the first day that it will be available on the market to the general public. Has anyone tried it? What do you think?

That's pretty tyte man... I'll try the Budweiser Select though. I don't have a favorite brew really... although Icehouse "cold" was my favorite at a point.

Is this their new "Red Bull" with alcohol, or something else?

Something else.

A light, fairly dry beer.

Red Bull is the cure for a bad hang-over.

It's been out for a while, I had it about 2 months ago. It's similar to other low carb beers out there, maybe a little better actually.

I've yet to try their new Red Bull/Beer combo, but haven't heard good things.....

Since I work in the industry, I have an invite to a private party with free Bud Select beer and food (of course). Makes no sense they scheduled the party for March 3rd, but Bud did ship earlier than planned to rush the market before Miller can bash it too much. My guess is, this may take "my favorite beer" away from Bud Light.

B^E is the new Budweiser energy drink. It's okay until you're down to the second half of the can. I'll stick to Warsteiner Verum.
