I have a spare minimag and a spare laser. I wonder if there is one larger or if just putting more juice to it would up the output or blow it out.

Disclaimer: I would never do this, but it looks cool.

I think you'd need a laser diode with a higher power rating. It's not something you can find lying around.

I have 2 spare burners right now so those diodes are "free" to me.

I wonder if you could take the blue diode from a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD burner? While not more powerful, it is more focused. Of course I don't have a spare blu-ray burner lying around just yet.
