Well, I decided on the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon card and man do I love this thing!

The more advanced cards from ATI and Nvidia required Win98 ME or Win2000. I'm only running Win98, but this thing has everything I needed anyway. Full-screen video, stereo sound, still image capture, digital VCR, even TV as the desktop!

I love this thing! Thanks Dave, for the suggestion!

By the way, my desktop computer is a Sony Vaio. I had an Nvidia TNT2 card and the de-install of that and the install of the new card went without a hitch. Took about 45 minutes total.

By the way, I've heard that upgrading to Digital Cable would not necessarily eliminate the ability to receive cable on my computer. Apparently, TV's with the Digital Cable box will receive the digital cable stations, but those without (i.e. my computer) would still receive the standard, non-digital cable programming. Anyone who can confirm this?

You get both digital and analog programming on the same cable line. If you bought digital cable, your cable company gives you a box that allows you to decode the digital portion. You still get the analog since it's carried on the same line.
