California Car Duster
I got a California Car Duster for xmas. Before I use it, I would like to hear from anyone with experience (pro or con) with these. Is it safe for the paint? How dusty is "too dusty" to use the duster? It sure seems like a nice alternative to a 30-minute Meguiar's Quick Detailer job when the car is only slightly dusty.
Same here. I used it exclusively on a Corvette that I never washed in 6 years (show car). I use it all the time on the S. It's also really great for dusting the dash, seats, etc. I don't use it instead of washing, but it is perfect all summes long, when it never rains (unlike now).
The California Car Duster is a MUST HAVE car care item.
Although I am a FANATIC about keeping my S2000 clean (I only drive it in good weather and it is always garaged) I only needed to wash my car ONCE this past year because I religiously California Dusted my car after each drive. It's never scratched the finish.
The Mini-Duster is also very handy for use on the dash and interior plastic surfaces which quickly get dusty from top down motoring.
As I said, this is a MUST HAVE item and you will not be able to imagine how you lived without it once you've used it for a while.
How's that for an endorsement?!

as you can see in my sig, i also have a black car. i use the duster almost daily, usually before covering the car. i also have the interior duster, but find that a soft rag handles the interior just fine. the duster is a necessity for keeping any fine paint job new.(my only hint is to not rub the car, but to hold the duster off of the car when dusting- to avoid hair-line scratches).

Wow...what great responses. Thanks to all of you. It looks like I'll be out in the garage later "California Dusting" my S2000, especially since the weather totally sucks here right now. I only drive her when it's nice outside. I notice the instructions that came with the thing state that "the dirtier it works, the better it works"...that sounds odd.
