Default Call back employer?

Greetings guys,

I applied for a position with a local analytics firm, and am really excited about the gig (it's one of those positions that is pretty much tailored for me lol). I applied last week, and got a call back from them yesterday. I spoke with a lady there for a good 30 minutes, and got some good vibes so I'm pretty stoked about possibly getting this gig. She told me "I'll get the interview schedule from our senior analyst and call you back to schedule an interview". Haven't heard back from her today, so i'm debating if I should call her back today and follow up or now. What do you guys think?

Give it another day. If they really like you they won't drop the ball. If you don't ever get a call back, well...

Give it more than a day. Trust me sometimes it just takes a few days for them to schedule the time with whoever you are meeting with. I would follow up Friday at the soonest.

Wow, what happened to the good old "go get em" attitudes Americans used to have? Man, you need a job? Call that biatch! or get on your knees

I am a recruiter and I can tell you there is no faster way to not get a job than to be the guy that calls everyday asking if they are going to interview you. It does pay to be patient. Remember the people that are looking at your resume and possibly interviewing you have other things on their plate as well. In this case it has only been a day and they are probably trying to figure out when they can interview you.

Agreed, give at least 24 hours time for work to get done. If nothing back within 24 hours, then call. After that, give another 24 hours if needed.

Also remember, generally, people are lazy and inept. Add another day or two due to that (lost your resume, lost your contact info, taking a day off, someone is "sick", "things are piling up", etc.).

I ended up calling her on Thursday to follow up, and got an interview the next day. Interview went well, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the advice guys.
