Default Calling all detectives: Anyone know the artist to that song...

From the movie Fast & Furious, there was this song playing in the background which I've been dying to find out who the artist is and the name of the song. The scene: Young cop's Eclipse gets blown up by Rick Yun and gang in Chinatown. Cop and Baldy (the guy who beat cop at the race earlier that night) walks back to Baldy's house. Outside Baldy convinces Cop to come in and chill. Meanwhile inside the house is a party and they're playing this hypnotic song which is the song I'm trying to find... Can anyone help?

Based upon your description of the song (which I only vaguely remember), and what's on the soundtrack but not on the soundtrack CD, I'm going to say:

BT - "Nocturnal Transmission"

Look here and here to see what's in the movie and what's on the CD.

Hope this helps.

I can't use Morpheous here at work.

Can anyone download it and email it to me? Pretty please? The song is a little over 9 minutes long so it will be almost 10mb.

Might be the song, but if it is, they edited a bunch of it. I'll have to compare tonight.

The soundtrack is NOT the same thing as the score... I bought that soundtrack expecting big things and did NOT get what I wanted!

It's quite possible that the song you're looking for isn't on the soundtrack. Anyone know where to find score information from movies? I really dug a song in "Serendipity" (withhold flames, please), and apparently other people did too, because there were 4 of us, none who knew each other, standing around after the movie watching the credits, trying to figure out who did the song...

Sondra,

This reminds me of a pretty funny incident a while back at Tower Records. I'm trying to find this song, the salesman says "Why don't you sing it or humm it." I must have hummed out the super remix 12 minute version. While humming, he hums too. After all that, the salesman says, "No idea..."
