calling all guitarists!
I've been playing for a couple years now so I'm in the market for a new guitar. My first guitar was a POS no name guitar that I got for $50... my next one was an AE18 from Ibanez... suited my needs just perfect back then... but now I've grown musically and would like a better guitar... anybody try the OMC-15E from Martin?

any other suggestions for acoustic/electric guitars in this price range? (I'd really love a cherry sunburst Taylor 900 but too expensive!)
thanks!

I bought a guitar from Ed's store. You'll save a lot of money and get an all solid wood guitar that looks and plays beautiful.

I don't know much about guitars but I think you should post up a thread in here in relation to your Africa missions trip to encourage people to help starving children. I'm already an annual donator to two children charities, but I'd like to see many others on here help also. People on here typically have money, and it wouldn't be such a bad idea to encourage them a little.
I had originally posted a thread before I went to Africa asking the members of this forum for any sort of donations (I said that we would take even a quarter). However, the thread was closed VERY quickly because people complained because they thought that I was a scam.
For this reason, I do not ask for any donations, but I posted the pictures from my trip to encourage other people to help out (you can find it in my signature). Does not have to be in Africa, but even in their own communities. I'm very happy to see that you're helping out with those charities.
Please continue to help them! They need your help.
If you have the time try and volunteer as well! I recently got a message from the workers in Africa saying how they now have so many people (800 kids a week) but so little volunteers (7) that they can't keep up with the number of kids that come.
