On The Campaign Trail
Whilst campaigning, President Bush stopped at an elementary school where he read to a class of third-graders, then took their questions. One young boy raised his hand.
"What's your name, son?"
"Johnny."
"What's your question, Johnny?"
"Actually, sir, I have three questions. Number one: How do you justify invading Iraq without support of the UN? Number two: Why haven't you found any weapons of mass destruction? Number three: Is it true that you invaded Iraq merely to get control of their oil?"
Just then the recess bell rang. President Bush promised to answer Johnny's questions after the children returned from recess. Half-an-hour later they were back.
"Any questions?"
Another young boy raised his hand.
"What's your name, son?"
"Tommy."
"What's your question, Tommy?"
"Well, sir, I have five questions. Number one: How do you justify invading Iraq without support of the UN? Number two: Why haven't you found any weapons of mass destruction? Number three: Is it true that you invaded Iraq merely to get control of their oil? Number four: Why did the recess bell ring twenty minutes early? Number five: Where's Johnny?"
