If it runs, for a $1000 bucks, I'd take a shot at it. Fold down the rear seats and it's like having a Honda El Camino.

For $600 I can buy an El Camino with a bad alternator. For $200 I can buy an old GMC 454 dually with a blown transmission. Put 2 and 2 together and you have a 454 El Camino (possibly low 13s out the box) for less than $1000.

that older prelude is soooooo much nicer than the civic in the auction. with the top down, it almost looks factory.

i was thinking.. if that civic ever rolled, it would more than likely kill everyone inside. the a-pillars are probably not reinforced, and the "tt style hoops" would probably do little to protect it's occupants. what a nightmare!

Yeah, that's what I meant by a Honda convertible sold in other parts of the world. For some reason, I think the Prelude conversion I saw was closer to this Civic than that Prelude.
