With my latest engine upgrade, my Skyline is pumping out 1071 hp. Now I don't have any problems with top end. I hit 256 on one of the long straights. The only problem now is that it's almost impossible to control.

ok, so without cheats, and hours and hours and hours of gametime between myself and Insomniak with weekend, I've got the S2k pretty much maxed out and cannot push it any further.
anyone have one that they tuned? I'd like to compare the tuning if possible to see what others are adjusting out there to get the most out of the suspension.
I'm saving up for a Skyline next. *crossing fingers* only twenty grand or so to go! Ugh!

Don't bother with the S2 or the SSX. The bosses are so much more powerful that it's a joke, unless you stay in the inner course. The twisties are your only hope with that car set with low gear ratios. Even the NSX can't compete with the tough bosses. Skyline is the easiest car to drive fast. I would go with that. The R34 race models are what I'm running right now. Let me know if you guys figure out that Wanderer thing. You reach a point where they won't race you. I know who they are, where they are, and when they'll come out. However, that info is useless since they won't race.

There are two r34 racing models that come out later that can be maxed out at over 1000 hp. After you beat those drivers, you can buy them for like $400k and up.

Just look at your rival list, and you'll see what's left. I have 27 Wanderers left and then the Z car. It's hard to finish, cuz these Wanderers refuse to race.

Trojan Horse,
Yes, there is another engine upgrade but I don't remember what it costs. I believe it was around $400K or so. I have an R32 Skyline because it was the cheapest and the hp rating was the same as the R34 which was like three times as much. The biggest diff. I think is that the R32 is a 5 spd. and the R34 should be a 6 spd.. After a while though you can upgrade your tranny to a 6 spd. close ratio tranny. That tranny with the 1071 hp makes the skyline ridiculous fast. I have yet to find anyone that can keep up in the straights, or the twisties for that matter. I bought the $400K 3000GT but it only has about 800 hp now, not near as fast as my skyline.
