there are some bad stories on this board about capital one. Don't know about lending tree.
my suggestion: your local credit union.

which ever one gives you the lowest interest rate...

im using capitol one right now with auto debit for the monthly car payments;
its only a hassle if you want to make a prepayment, cuz then you have to snail mail it

I've heard horror stories about Lending Tree. Something like what they do is take your credit application and send it to many different lenders and having your credit pulled through each one and hurting your score.

I used Capital One, and they're fine. Lowest rate too, but if you have access to a Credit Union you might do just as well.

I don't like Lending Tree. They never had the lowest rates for anything I've looked at, and they don't do anything for you that you couldn't do yourself.
