Enzyme, what do you want to do with the car? Like someone else said, if you wanna go drag racing you'll get different recommendations than if you wanna Auto-X, and possibly different than if you wanna street race (sleeper machines).

Get an AE86...85-87 I believed, Toyota Corolla GTS. Rear wheel drive with DOHC and 5 speed tranny, around 2000lb. Get a spec engine from Toysport for 160hp with addition of cams (256 intake, 264 exhaust) for 900. Engine runs 13:1 compression, my friend who has this combo says it runs on pump gas the last time we talked...That doesn't sound right to me, I'm gonna ask him again. Install the engine yourself and total cost if you can get the car for about 1500 is just a little over 2500!

How about you?

I live totally on other side of Irvine in Northwood. I just graduated from highschool and currently enrolled at UC Riverside.

What car do you drive? And why are you debating whether or not to drive to work?

I drive a black/red s2000...i'm thinking of selling my 1990 Corolla station wagon and getting the older Corolla and the Toysport engine, hehehe my friends are gonna go "huh?"...just gotta make sure it runs ok on pump gas...otherwise I can't afford a trailer and a truck to take it to the tracks or the race gas for everyday driving

When I'm at work, I'm always itching to go drive the s2000...I walk to work because it's so close. Man Northwood is a nice area...I was looking at houses there a couple months ago! When does school start for you?

It's a Japanese car, I'm sure it'll run fine on ANYTHING, heh. That would be a cool car though with the Toysport engine. But if I had an S2000, I'd drive it everyday, just too hard to resist.

Where do you work? I'm assuming you know SteveUCI with a Yellow S2000 and his friend Jeff with a black NSX.

The Northwood homes sure are nice. I live in the new northwood homes and the old ones since my parents are divorced. A lot of sports players live around here, new trend I guess.

I think my school starts around late sept, like sept 25th. Probably will move in about a week before that.

But 13:1 compression is pretty high for 91 octane...I wonder what the redline for that engine is. I do like to drive the S2000, but I hate bringing it to bad neighborhoods...I'd rather bring something like the 86...low key! hehehe Plus the 86 is a great track car and relatively cheap to upgrade...and fix

Yea I know Steve, I've met Jeff once. But Steve and I hang out all the time. How do you know Steve?

I like that one huge gated community where the new million dollar homes are built...they charge you up the ass for sq footage over there! But I think they go up in value quicker!
