Default carsponsorships.com?

So lately i have noticed that my friend has been putting alot of extra things into his mazda 3, alot of things that i know he doesnt have money for... mostly all show kinda parts but parts none the less. So i was talking to him last night about it and he says that he found a sweet website, www.carsponsorships.com, he says that you register and tell them about your car and what not, write a essay to say why you deserve sponsorship and register a card that theyattemp to secure sponsorships w/ alot of different brands. He says that you have to pay around $80 for every sponsorship and each of them have different things you have to do like decals, wear there shirts, promote them and others things.
I have checked out there website and they do have alot of decent brands that they claim they can get you a sponsorship w/ but it sounds skeptical....

Has anyone on here heard of or used this website to obtain sponsorships or anything?

Why would you PAY to be sponsored? It's a scam and your friend is dumb. Merry X-Mas though.

I haven't heard anything about it, but it sure does sound like a scam. I'm not sure just how to come across sponsorships, but I'd like to know if anyone has any input. As far as I know, you write letters with stats and reasons to why they should want you to flaunt their stuff and they decide from there.

That site is known to be mostly scams.
I dont have any sponsors, but why you'd ever want to pay to be an advertisement for a company is beyond me. It's supposed to be the other way around. All I've ever heard about it, you work your butt off going to shows and making your car look damn good while advertising their parts (decals and such), and they give you deep discounts on those parts, or parts for free if you do good work for them. You're essentially a cheap employee for their sales team.
