I really thougth that this being a new board, it could be like a new start for everybody. But as everybody can see, (some members) keep going personal onto other members, are we here to talk about cars, or insult one to other. By this mean a make a call to everybody on the board to stop insulting and fighting ( I feel like a mother, stoping a kids fight). If you are reading a post and have NOTHING good or some info to give, just don't. PEACE!

Well, I have high hopes for this board too. And to some extent, my high hopes have been dashed as well. I had hoped that people would be allowed to post whatever they liked, without being overseen by subjective authorities. I consider condescention and imposition of social and ethical standards to be as repugnant as any personal attacks.

In short, the Internet is one place where anarchy should rule. Even shorter, I have a problem with authority.

If this board is to become a civilized forum constrained to the single purpose of discussing exhausts and throttle bodies and dealer experiences, then I will be disappointed.

Anyways, how will I know if I've violated Fito's social mores? Is he made of eggshells? Am I to assume he (and everyone else) is? Since some of us seem intent on imposing standards, who will be the standard bearer? Who will decide if a comment is an attack that is too personal to be permitted? What criteria will go into that decision? What justifications will be required to support that decision?

I see a locked thread, and *tisk* *tisk* messages like this one, and behind them I see people that want to control the rest.

 

Even though this thread has nothing to do with me.......
If I get in a fight, it would be more of a pig fight or a multi-racial fight between a pig and some other type of animal like yourself ... whoever you are.
I'm not sure if there is any problem with that.
I must warn you though, pigs drool a lot. A fight with me might require multiple bath to clean up.
