You pretty-much hosed yourself when you put your hands on him. Beating him while he was on the ground only made things worse.

Unless the cutting tool was pointed at you, you are lucky to not be in jail right now. As stupid as it sounds, you don't have the right to choke, then beat someone for vandalizing your car.

If he decides to press charges, you will lose. Your best bet is to buy yourself a new top and hope he isn't smart enough to press charges.

i say screw it, take the the charge for assault, whats the worst it can be, they might give u a suspended record, or a good behaviour bond. they might fine u a little, but im guessing, if u get a good lawyer, u can easily make it disappear if u play hardball back at the vandal

Tricky situation with this as you beat him down. I would just say when you approached the scene and asked wtf is he doing he pointed the scissors or whatever he was using at you and you reacted out of self defense.

Maybe he was just pointing at me judge maybe he wasn't but i wasn't gonna wait to get cut or stabbed to find out i acted out of self defense and fear and nervousness as ive never walked out to see my car getting vandalized and some1 pointing a sharp object at me in a threatining manner.

I think there should be a law which allows owners to beat the **** out of anyone messing with your car, right there on the spot.

Good beating, I wouldn't regret it. Just stay cool if he retaliates.

I'm with Shini. You got the most satisfaction I could have ever hoped for, to catch the MF who did it.

Tell him to pay up or else.....you know where he lives.... so if he doesn't pay up go **** up every car in his driveway.
I have no tolerance for people like this...give them what they deserve.

An eye for an eye....

hope this helps...

Peace
David

dont threaten him (which he could possibly use against you), although he was in the wrong you really arent supposed to beat the crap out of him even if he is messing up your car. he could probably press charges on you for assult and you can press charges on him for vandalism, but vandalism is petty (in my opinion) against something like beating the crap out of someone even if they did deserve it. you can kill someone if they come in your house, but you cant protect your car etc (not trying to say i wouldnt have done the same thing, just trying to pass on some legal stuff i have heard before- some of which did some from authorities). this is only because there is no physical harm towards you so you cant say that it was in self defense.

its true situations like these are tricky. hope it works out for you man, and to be honest if i caught someone doing the same thing

We get back 20 mins later and park around the corner and as we're walking around the corner I see the owner of the house (I just met him that night, another friend knew him who was @ the party too) CUTTING MY ROOF!! there was a big slice in and water was in my seat etc..

When I first pulled up this faggot made some rude comment about how his non existant h23 twin turbo accord in storage will smoke my s2000...

*LEGAL EDIT FTW!* - Vigilante justice WAS served, AND SERVED BIG.

I grabbed his ID from him when I caught him cutting my top and remember where the house was, What do you guys think the bset way to get payed for a new soft top/hardtop would be?
A home owner cut your top? Why? Was he trying to steal your seats or something?
