The company my wife works for is about to upgrade her cell phone. They also require her to carry a digital camera. The model she has is an old Sony that's huge and doesn't do very good job. Does anybody here have any experience with the new camera phones? If so please post some examples of pictures and how you like the phone. BTW, she doesn't need to take great pictures for work but she does need a phone that works well. BTW, she travels all over the country so the fewer items she has to carry the better. She also doesn't have a choice of cell phone companies since the company she works for has a contract with Verizon.
Thanks
Thanks

I have the Nokia 3650... decent phone, GSM coverage, nice interface that syncs up with computers for contacts/calender. It does do a few strange things sometimes like powerdown for no reason.
Camera is so-so, it can do 640x480 as it's largest res, but it's pretty pixelated with artifacts. It can also do short movies if you have the space.
here's an example when I saw the local Enzo getting prepped:

I have the LG-VX6000 and the stream "reaction" of the camera is very very good. Although the picture looks alot hazy. I never zoom in with a lower rez shot, I just take the 640x480. The Sprint phone that is almost free makes a brighter picture, but you have to be a machine to get no blur from movement. Plus Sprint coverage sucks. Go with Verizon!

if the company she works for has verizon, she would be able to get a deal under the corporate contract. the LG-Vx6000 is Verizon's first camera phone. Others will come put, but it all depends on how urgently she is looking to get one.
The picture quality can go as high as 640x480. other carriers carry silimiar phone, but if coverage is what you are looking for, you might want to consider that first.. before you look for the best cameraphone available....
