IMHO, this will kill handset makers. Especially the middle tier.
Without subsidized phones, the average person will not change out their cell every 2 years. I even know people that don't change out their phone with them subsidized.
also, $300 is ALOT of money to ALOT of people. Why do you think Craigslist is so popular?
