Folks complaining about Sprint service probably live in areas where Sprint coverage is not that great; it's a simple fact of life that carriers have good and bad areas, all of them. Saying that SprintPCS sucks everywhere based on your limited experience locally is like saying all Honda's are shit because of the misadventures with the unreliable rebadged Isuzu Rodeo they sold some years ago. It's flawed logic.

WNP won't happen within the next four months or even the next couple years. From a technical perspective very few of the carriers could even pull it off; and those that can have no real benefit to admitting they could.

The numbers you quoted for quarterly sub adds are not accurate. Each company fudges on them, more often than not because many bonuses are tied directly into that number. I have some experience with the bullshit voodoo logic the marketing folks will pick up that constitutes what a subscriber activation / deactivation / reactivation is. There is no consistent formula between carriers and none of them are correct from a logical standpoint.

With regards to network expenditures, Verizon's network expenditures are only average when compared to the rest of the pack. Every provider is massively in debt to the various network equipment providers; in most cases they will simply never be capable of crawling from the hole of debt they have been lured into.

With regards to Verizon's network, they have a very happy consumer base everywhere but the northeast, so they must be doing something right. The only real obstacle that lays ahead of them is accurate billing as customers move from region to region, so far they can't do that and my wallet has shown the evidence.

i don't know where you get your information from, but all carriers post how many adds they have, minus their churn level. so, it has to be consistant.

Average network expenditure? every provider in debt? Steve C, you better go do some research, Verizon Wireless is not in debt....

LNP, or WNP as you would like to call it, will happen. it is mandated by the government. so, go pull more BS from whatever source you have. because it is the law, it has to be done. Each carrier is already scrambling to find a way to do it. Believe me, if it is required by the law, you can be sure it will be done. Why would Sprint already be charging customers that feature? oh... wait... they wouldn't mysteriously charge a fee would they? hmm.. maybe they would.

From your argument in the first paragraph, so, if 100 people say this company sucks, and 1 person says it doesn't, it is not a true representation?
I don't think you will ever find one carrier, or even one item, where 100% of the people are completely satisfied.

If you want, let me know where you got the information that Verizon Wireless is in debt.. and i will eat my shorts.... and use a sprint phone for 1 day....

in consumer reports, verizon was rated number one cell phone service. sprint was last. that is food for thought.

Coverage was never an issue for me, service was. Almost every month they double charged my account for service, and the fastest i could ever talk to service rep was 15 minutes.

Hmmm.... I love our Sprint service, great coverage in the northwest and all over when we travel. I just got the cool camera phone and it's real fun to mess around with the pictures. We have 4 phones on a plan to share a shitload of minutes plus unlimited calling between Sprint phones. Most of our family and colleagues have Sprint so the unlimited calling between Sprint phones is useful.
