Friend is requesting study material for the test, both parts.
I cant remember what i used, but does anyone have anything (software, books, online class) to recommend them using?

CBT Nuggets is what my company is using for all of our cert training. You can either buy monthly or yearly subscriptions or packaged prices. They're really good, but will obviously be more expensive than just going out and buying a couple of books.
Their monthly subscription prices are $199/month
Their yearly subscription prices are $1599/year (prices go down depending on the number of licenses)
Their A+ package is $399 (you can access it for as long as you want.
The cool thing about the subscriptions is that you have access to as many of the certifications as you want for that time period. They currently have the study material for 97 certs, so there is a lot to choose from. So, if you're going to hit it hard, a yearly subscription could be the way to go.
I'm currently working on my MCITP-Enterprise Administrator using them, then will start working on a couple of other certs.

CBT nuggets are great. The guy sometimes talks about random stuff but that keeps it interesting enough to pay attention to. I just passed the 70-680 using them. I didn't use anything to study for the A+ though. Took both parts completely cold.
