Well, I'd have to say that neither judo nor muy thai would do much for "kicking ass" in the street. For that matter, neither would the type of "show" or competition karate displayed in the video. . . those are all disciplines meant for a controlled environment (the ring, tournaments, Olympics, etc.).

I'm not really sure that this is a point even worth arguing, as I've never actually seen a true ass kicking in the street where 2 martial artists just decide to go at it.

It's you're for the truly ignorant(yourself) and the last time I checked Bruce Lee didn't practice Muay Thai(not Muay Tia the maragarita queen). Then again I guess he didn't know how to fight and/or "kick some ass".
wow you are really going out of your way to start shit. Obviously there are exceptions, Im sure there's people that take tae bo classes and can kick most peoples ass, hell there's people that never studdied anything and can lay down a beating. Watch some UFC / Pride fights. I have never seen a person who was trained only in karate win a fight, much less a tournement. It is pretty recognized that kick boxing and judo are the 2 forms of martial arts that you should study if you want to learn how to fight.

Mark this day on the calendar! I agree with Honda606 on something. Arguing which fighting style is more "badass" is stupid. It all comes down to the practicioner. I know some "Karate" guys who could lay a hell of a beating on a judoka. And vice versa.

I placed 2nd in the '86 Tang Soo Do world championships in the same event this kid was competing in. (Except I was one age group older). This kid is a badass. Would have schooled me in a second.
