Chik-fil-a
We have had Chik-fil-a around Philadelphia since I was a kid (I'm 28). They have awesome chicken nuggets and chicken sandwhiches.
For burgers Five Guys is the best around here (except for this one local spot named Charlie's which is old and gross inside, but the burgers are great!).
Five guys is all fresh ground meat made into patties the day they cook them and the fries were potatoes the day before as well. That is all they sell and they do it well.
Now I'm hungry

spicy chicken straight up with waffle fries mixed with mayo and ketchup, that's where it's at!
Going to grab it after work now.
But I have to say, Whataburger has noting on In-N-Out. Could be that I'm use to Whataburger and have only had I-N-O once in my life 3 months ago, but man the double double animal style is where it's at!
Jake's is a good burger but it's also 3x the price of I-N-O.

a jake's special costs $5.95, In-n-out costs less than $2?
When I go to Jakes, my burger is usually anywhere from $6-$9...but Jake's is closer to gourment and a much bigger burger than INO. I think the whole appeal for INO is it's a great tasting "fast food" burger that doesn't taste like the crap at Jack in the Box or McDonalds for the same price.
The best burger hands down that I've had in Dallas or anywhere is Twisted Root, it's about a $10 burger but it's great! The also have game meats (alligator, lamb, ostrich, buffalo, venison).
I've yet to try out:
Mooyah
Five Guys
Smashmouth
I intend on trying them all out by year end thanks to this thread. Also thanks to this thread and mxt77 I ran to Whataburger for lunch today, my first visit in over 5 years and had their Whataburger with cheese and jalepono. Was very good! Will definitely go back!
[QUOTE=kntrider,Oct 28 2010, 03:19 PM] Also thanks to this thread and mxt77 I ran to Whataburger for lunch today, my first visit in over 5 years and had their Whataburger with cheese and jalepono.
Yeah, Twisted Root is good. Burger Girl, too, I was pleasantly surprised to find recently. Just below them, I'd put Village Burger Bar. Lot's of other good one-off burger joints around here too.
My favorite burger isn't from a burger joint, though - it's the Chori Burger from the La Duni in Northpark.
With so many great burgers here, I'm surprised that In-n-out coming is such a big deal.
