Hi,
I'm on a 13 month pay scheme, where the 13th pay check is comming mid December. Only problem, is that we have to pay full tax on that salary, i.e. around 40%

Bonus season for us is around end February, and of cause depends onthe company's success as well as personal achivements.

When I first moved to Hong Kong, I had a 2 1/2 year contract with a bonus of 4 months salary at the end. Basically a deferred payment really - but a good way to enforce saving.
In my new job, I get a bonus of 10% of my annual salary each October...
(though I guess this is just another deferred payment really!)

What's with xmas bonuses anyway? Bonus for what? Surviving long enough to make Christmas? Why don't they just call it a gift, as in Christmas gift.
