woot woot! Christmas! I'm still a little kid when it comes to Christmas. I love all the bright lights and decorations.

I've worked hard over the past 2 years and finally got promoted to a position where I make decent money and can afford to get my family some nice gifts. Every year before they'd get me awesome gifts [especially my bro and sister in-law], this year I can actually afford to get them some sweet gifts. It's a pretty good feeling.

Now comes the hard part of deciding what to get'em....

I'm going to *try* to get 90% of my shopping done in November.

I'll report back if I'm successful.

I understand the line in Vegas is already 25:1 that I succeed.

I am the same way except I really don't like buying stuff for myself, it feels weird. I'd rather spend for fun on entertainment and beer, etc. Besides, my wife and son suck up most of the money...dads are the most used and abused bastards of the animal food chain.

My birthday is on Christmas. The dual purpose gift was invented for me. When I was a little kid, I would get a nice Christmas present with a nice Christmas card. Inside the card would be taped a stale green (usually cracked) jelly bean with this note below it (in the penmanship of an obviously inebriated person): "Oh, yeah, happy birthday you little asshole."

I don't think about Christmas until Thanksgiving is over.
