I got a nice Chivas Regal and a Johnnie Walker black label from my mother in law.

 

I had the good fortune of trying it, it's very strong and a bit hot for my tastes. I really like the 10 year family reserve.

Put 'em in the freezer....

Pull out 2-3 and then pour your favorite booze over them....

Keeps your booze cold without watering it down!

You put literal rocks in your bourbon?

For me, the water from the ice really changes the flavor dynamic. I'll be honest, I really enjoy the taste of bourbon neat or on the rocks over straight, unless it's Jack. Not too many though! 1-2 cube(s) for every 4 oz. or so.

 

4 oz of booze per glass.... I'd be toasted real quick!

The "rocks" don't change the flavor/etc at all.

Actual ice will though, and I like my bourbon on the cooler side (not cold though).

 

My gf got these for me the previous Christmas. It looks like they need to be seasoned. Makers will work; just give it time, and rinse, but don't wash with soap.
