Default Chrysler stops production for [at least] a month

Chrysler normally shuts down production for 11 days anyway, this will keep workers off the line until the end of January...

Too bad dealers have probably a six month supply of cars on hand. It does not look good for them.

The new Ram may generate some buyers, a few for the Journey and the Caravan, but other than that they really don't have a model that is in any sort of demand. I bet they regret the decision to launch the Challenger. Its not selling now, what happens against full Camaro production?

The big 3 all need to consolidate and trim the fat. Their competition (besides their own inept way of doing business) is Europe and Japan, not each other.

How did you not mention the Magnum or 300? Those things are a dime a dozen

only because of fleet deals, be it rental or pharmicutical.

they're actually supposed to axe the magnum and the pt cruiser pretty soon, I think 2009 will be the last model year for both....

makes me a little sad. I always wanted a magnum srt-8, and swap the front end of a 300 on it.
