So do you have average or good credit? What's your credit score?

Banks value cars based on their wholesale value, the value they could get for the car if they repossessed it and sold it an a dealer auction.

Sell the car and lease, good way to drive decent cars, I know I miss driving different cars every other year. Only if the wife will go back to our younger days. No other way to lower your payments, other than refinances, which is a waste in my opinion, rather use it to pay a large sum on the over all total.

Credit union or perhaps E-loan.com?

I originally financed my S through E-loan (since refinanced) and they were able to give me an interest rate about 5% lower than even my own bank at the time. I also had less than stellar credit then too.

Credit unions usually offer the best rates but you gotta have really good credit to get it.

why would you refinance a car?

I have been using Pentagon Federal (Google how to become a member at PenFed) and the rate is 3.99% APR.
