Default close call in Iraq

fortunately for those lucky soldiers, an IED was buried a bit too deep, and the timing of its detonation was a bit off.

wow. i'd probably consider going awol after that, if i thought i could actually get back home. once i realized that wouldn't be possible, i'd probably have a fuked up attitude for the rest of my tour. but this only if i was dumb enough to join the marines or army in the first place...

That was a close call. I would need a change of underwear after that!

Yeah what he said. Military guys join for different reasons, free education, serve their country, get out of a bad neighborhood for better economic opportunity, etc. But regardless of whatever reason, they get nothing but my respect for the sacrifices they make. Be it time away from home, limbs, or life.

Everyone in the US is fortunate that some people volunteer for the dirty work instead of working easy jobs and posting on the internet.
