Default Cloud backup?

What are folks currently using for cloud backups? I always hated the idea since I was dependent of the existance of some company that in this space, seems to change often. I then started using iDrive cause it was rated so high. Now, a year later, it is 100% garbage. Literally just does not work and does nothing but "generating lists" for days on end and chewing up CPU. And backups were throttled so harshly anyways that if you had a large number of new files it took a day to back them up. Went online and see that they have pretty much nothing but the same feedback and reviews as what I am seeing for quite some time now and it appears support is not really helping anyone. PCMag, being behind as usual, still gave them the best backup of 2020 rating last I saw. Apparently they have not been using the same tool as many others have!

About to go back 100% to my old method of backing up myself to 2 physical locations. But thought I would see what others have been using as of late.

I'm not sure how much space you need, but I use google drive and the speeds are fantastic. I use the 200gb plan and never pay a dime for it because I just do the little google opinion surveys and that makes enough to pay for it.

I still have a proper RAID array at home. As for cloud backup, I have iCloud for storing my Apple stuff except photos, then I have DropBox for docs, sheet music, and photos. However, I also have very few items change on my system to warrant giant changes to/from the cloud. My wife has her photos split between Google and Amazon, with no serious problems.

10TB NAS with RAID 5 and FTP at home (don't ask me the setup, my bro-in-law is a network engineer and did everything, I just gave him $$$ for parts, lol). I use MS Onedrive for working files otherwise if I really need something I can FTP in (rarely though, I always get nervous accessing it outside of the home though my bro-in-law says I'm protected).

You should use all of the free accounts and space you can get..Google Drive, Microsoft, DropBox-Pcould Amnazon Drive, OneDrive Media Fire Degoo
Amazon gives storage as well if you use prime.
I'm a google guy I have unlimited space due to my job; so much to store. I love google Drive just make folders and everything is easy to find.
Just make sure you use different secure passwords and don't store stuff you don't want hacked or found out... just saying.
