Default Coaster Fanatics?

I'm not sure if you would classify this as a sport, so I'm leaving it here

I gather many people on these forums enjoy the feeling of speed, acceleration and the associated g-forces, with the wind blowing in their hair. So I was wondering how many of you love rollercoasters, and which ones are the best you have been on. Any videos?

I would love to get back to the US one day to ride some more of the extreme coasters.

Roller coasters are entertaining, or I should say were entertaining. Just don't do it for me, no risk, no rush really.

Want a thrill? Try a highball boulder problem with a rocky landing

No risk? Go to Riverside park in Mass. (if its still there) and ride thier "black widow" coaster. I swear that thing breaks down once a day. I was on it when it broke down and we were stuck almost upside down (emergency brakes locked up) for about 20 mins. We were well past horizontal but not fully upside down.

It was interesting to say the least, but it didn't phase me, I was too young. I think I was on another coaster 10 mins later.

At the end of the month we are getting a Superman the Escape ride in Australia - pity it is in a different state.

From the little I have seen it just looks like a smaller scale version of Knotts Xcelerator. Xcelerator was short but sweet - why was I the only one with my hands in the air the whole time?

We do still have the (equal) tallest drop ride though

I think that was closed when I was at Disney.

The Mummy ride at Universal was fun.

I absolutely LOVE rollercoasters. I get a huge rush from them. I live in NY so I usually go to Six Flags in Jersey. Luckily for me they just opened Kingda Ka this summer and I got to ride it a few times. That thing was INSANE (tallest, fastest rollercoaster in the world at 456ft tall and 0-128 in 3.5 secs)! That was a cool ride, but I still think that Medusa is one of the best coasters that I have been on though .

I bet that 3.5 seconds seemed a lot longer. So did anybody on the ride have their hands in the air the whole way?

I tried putting my arms up on the way back down from the top, but with the speed and the signs posted on the back of every headrest in front of you that said to keep your arms inside the car at all times was a little discouraging.
Check out this video clip of the ridetowards the bottom of the page)
