College Major
those are good suggestsions.
FYI, the major with the highest lifetime earnings is Economics. Granted, it is harder for an econ major to find work right out of school than a finance or accounting major, but I generally believe that the econ major knows a hell of a lot more about business.
IT? A lot of the salaries you're dreaming of no longer exist. When you say IT, do you mean trade school or a degree in Management Information Systems. trade school will get you a tech support job, an MIS degree will get you a job as a tester, maybe a low-level coder. Many seem to equate MIS with Computer Science. They are no where close. Computer Science is a very logical/theoretical/mathematical major, where MIS is really more about how to use current software packages.
Math and physics are good, but finding work can be tricky. Math is generally easier to apply to the world.
If you are technically oriented, I would suggest Engineering. There really is an abundance of higher paying work that needs engineering skills.
I would only look into justice if you want to be a cop.
Then there are the sciences, but if you hate lab work, it isn't for you.

Welcome to the boat!
I am also trying to decide on a major, and have had very little luck. The only thing I hear over and over is to do something you like.
I figure there are two options; do something you like and happens to make you good money (CPA), or do something you like (In my case, History) and just plan on going for the PhD and teaching at the college level.
I am enrolled in 3 History classes, a polysci class, and english next semester.
But seriously ye old people who drive s2000s, give us young'uns some wisdom

I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management. There seems to be a lot you can do with this particluar degree. But, if I could do it over again I would have probably gone into Accounting and became a CPA. They make good money.
The other thing you could do is get a major and a minor, and make one of them psychology. It seems like a lot of companies like everyone to be able to deal with people, and psycology and managment degrees are good ways to show that capability.

If your bright enough do Pharmacology. Pharmacists make but loads of money and have people fighting for them right out of college. You can start at 80k out college and be in the triple digits in 5 years.
Nursing is also in heavy demand right now, but I couldn't handle all the needles, bed pans, etc... Just not a good job for me.
I'm in I.T. myself. I don't recommend computer science for anyone unless they live in India.

A good family friend of mine is the head of pharmacy at the local hospital, he hired two fresh pharmacist just out of Univ of Oklahoma - starting salary 109k.
I am attending the Univ of Okla, and the pharm program is really attractive. Six year program, two in Norman, 4 at the health sciences center in Okla City. After which you graduate with one degree: A PhD in Pharm.
Pharm = Bank
