I think it depends as much as who it's going onto as anything... colognes (and perfumes for women) smell good on some people but smell bad on others...

It does have to do with body chemistry though. A rule of thumb is that if you spray it on yourself and let it dry and you can still smell it, it doesn' tgo with you.
