Default Comparing iphone & android google phone

So Im with T-mobile and I have always loved the iphone. I heard I can use the old/ first generation iphone, but then I also hear they are very close to unlocking the most recent/new iphone too. Is there a huge difference between the old and new iphone? Or just internet speed is different? Do they both still have the same features? I dont like how the android google phone looks, but I heard it may be the iphone killer? Is the android supposed to be way better than the iphones? (feature wise) T-mobile will be releasing it very soon.

Hmm, too early to honestly compare a phone you can buy today versus one you can't. I know several people who chose not to upgrade their original iPhone to a 3G (faster internet connection, actual GPS chip, 16 GB memory option).

Might want to look at the Verizon Blackberry Storm as well. It should be out in a couple of weeks and should bring in a lot of new BB users.

I ordered a t-mobile G1, it should arrive Tuesday, so take the following with as many grains of salt as you like

The iPhone is a MUCH better and sleeker design and it supports multi-touch ( like the pinch gesture) so on look alone the iphone wins.

However, what makes the G1 so great is Android. It's open source nature really should create for a host of interesting applications. Also I like that you get Apple's mobile me for free. Oh and google's maps street view on the G1 is crazy cool.

I just bought the iPhone as a birthday present to myself, and I love it! it's a black 3G 16gig.

I don't really care much for apple, however, my 3rd gen nano 8gig was great so I thought I'd try this.

The interface is really slick, and the apps are reason enough to own this phone. No matter where I am, I have news, sports scores, directions, recipes, games, music and pretty much anything else I'd like.

The 3G is almost (but not quite) as quick as broadband. But there is always wifi when you are near it.

This phone is the best birthday present I have ever gotten (even if it was to myself )

If you work at a job with long boring hours (also, if your nano happens to get stolen), you will not regret getting it.

that is just my simple review of the iPhone. Hopefully someone will step up with a review of the android phone.

i currently have 2g iphone for over a year now. it's nice phone but after apple released 2.0 firmware i f*&^ing hate it. reponse is so slow sometime i just wanna throw it to a wall. my bday is coming up so i was trying to decide which bday gift (3g iphone vs google phone) and i picked google phone and pre ordered it. i am going to miss iphone's freaking awesome touch screen and hard drive space but i think google phone is a better phone than iphone. also i am tired of trying to unlock it all the time when new firmware comes out.

IMO, iPhone has better hardware than to the G1.. doubt many will question that. But Android should prove to be a superior OS with better applications. Personally I'm waiting for some better Android equipped phones to be released.. from someone other than HTC.
