Computer Experts - Need help
Also, when you installed the new card, you may have pushed down on the board and created a short somewhere...Or the card could be the cause. I would try removing the new card and see if the computer powers on. If it does, then you could have a bad card...
Sorry, couldn't get to a computer
.. I am taking it to a tech guy I know tomorrow, and he also basically said the same thing that you guys are saying, and said it should be no problem to fix once he takes a look at it.. Weird thing that happened today though.. I opened it to take the network card out (just incase) and it all of a sudden just turned on.. But the power button didn't turn on, it just started up right when I opened it (or very shortly afterwards)... So I thought that was weird.. I shut down and tried it again, but no luck

yea it's fixed.. Im not sure what the exact problem was.. my mom dropped it off cuz I was at school at the time.. But she told me that they said that I probably triggered something loose when installing the card.. Also, when testing things out, they noticed that I had a lot of memory errors on the comp (which I do).. They asked if I wanted to do a "service" on the comp, but I obliged to just take it back as is.. I usually just buy a comp every 4-5 years and then buy a new one.. This is still year 3, so should still give me plenty of life before all hell breaks loose.
