Computer problem
Not sure what info is needed:
Dell Dimension 4550
512mb RAM
3x Seagate 120gb ATA HDD
Everything was running fine, partitoned and formatted one HDD re-installed (fresh install) Windows XP, XP loads and runs perfectly fine. Powered off to install a Silicon Image 680 RAID controller, loaded the drivers and finished formatting the other 2 HDD, rebooted all ok, powered down again to re-arrange HDD placement in the tower and started up, just after Dell logo screen I get "keyboard failure press F1 to continue" (press F1...good idea jackass). 25 second countdown and XP loads, go into device manager and the USB controller has a yellow question mark covered by an exclamation point, ran the Dell restoration CD to load the appropriate drivers, but always get an error stating they cannot be found, the mouse is fully functional. Keyboard and mouse are Logitech wireless (ran the Logitech setup cd also) tried resetting the connection between the keyboard and reciever, changed batteries in the keyboard, the reciever runs through USB then plugs into a PS/2 connection into the keyboard plug on the rear of the tower... any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks, SP1 is installed, along with all other Microsoft critical updates. I'm going to try a regular PS/2 keyboard tonight to hopefully rule out problems with the motherboard, but I would think if the problem was there it would cause more problems than just the keyboard. I was thrown off by it working as normal then stopping.
If you re-arranged the physical location of the Hard disks, you might want to check to make sure you didn't loosen any other cables, especially if you have a cable running from the motherboard to the USB ports (usually only the case when USB ports are in non-standard places). I'd also check the logitech website for any updated drivers as well as the FAQ to see if your Raid controller might have known problems with their devices. Sounds like a driver problem to me though since you can see the USB port in the device manager, but it has a question mark.
The RAID controller has been in for about 2 months with no problems. I just re-installed XP to clean up a bunch of garbage that was bothering me. I opened the case to double check the connections but didn't find aything loose, I lifted the heatsink off the processor to try and see the back side of the connector but the power supply is blocking it from view. The setup I have is 1 HDD is my boot drive running on the motherboard and the other 2 HDD are a master/slave on the Silicon Image IDE controller. I'm leaning toward possibly knocking something loose inside since it was working fine till I toyed around in there.
