Default computer savvy folk come here, answer questions

will 2 hard drives running in raid 0 run faster than one hard drive of equivalent size? Also what is a raid controller? Are SATA hds, much faster than ATA hds? Any advantages to H20 cooling if I don't OC? When I am building a computer do i just put it all together then boot it up and install the OS?
That is all

thx

Other than that I'd go with all WSB's answers.

overkill on the cooling can extend the life of your hardware whether you OC or not.

long as it's hardware and not software raid then it'll be good.

I don't think that the benefits of extra cooling on a non-OCed processor are worth the cost - especially since it'll be cheaper to replace the processor a couple times than it will be to H2O your case.

some companies have released freon based cooling units. It is all self contained for $600, and that was in 2001!
