condo vs coops, pros and cons
Any real estate lawyers out there ?
I am looking for a place to call home. A single family house is extremely expenisve here in the NYC metro area. So I am starting to looking at condos and coops. What are the major differences between the two? There's a nice one bedroom coop in the Weehawken area with fantastic views of midtown manhattan. But what are the drawbacks of a coop? I know about the approval process of the board and there are more controls and less freedom to living in a coop but is there anything else I should be aware of ? Any insight would be much appreciated.

Due to increase of price on a housing market these days, many people are not interested buying or living on a house however, you still need to consider the pros and cons of owning a condo. Besides, there are a few severe condominium disadvantages a person should have in mind before buying.
