Default Consumer Report: HoneyWell Hepa-Filter WORKS!!!

I recently read up on Honeywells hepa-filters and was quite skeptical. I decided to buy this unit 2 months ago and give it a shot. Here are the following results:

AS you can see, this is 1 month worth of dirt and dust in a master bedroom. With this filter on 24 hours a day, I find my monitors, and TV to have 80% less dust on it, and my air much cleaner. I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who as allergies, or just want a dust free atmosphere.

Rating: 9/10

Would I buy it again? I would buy one for everyroom.

It has 3 modes. Level 1 2 3. 3 is the strongest and loudest. I found it loud the 1st day, but got used it to. Takes a day or 2 to get used to.

thx! I love first-hand consumer feedback like that. I get kinda sneezy in my apartment in the springtime, so I'l have to give that filter a try. but I don't think they have any at my local Costco.

might I add, I *highly* recommend the Honda S2000 for anybody considering a 2-seat convertible sportscar.

What would you guesstamate is the annual cost of filters, i.e. cost filters each x approx times replacement in 12 months?

There are 2 type of filters for these machines. Pre-Filter and Main Filter. A pre filter is a Black wrap, wrapped around the main filter, whick looks like an old oversize Filter for the old Chevy's. The pre-Filter for this unit, last 2 months, and refills are 10.00 for 2 pre-filters. The main filter, last for 1.5 years (Less if you turn it on for 24hrs a day, about 1 year) which runs 40.00. The electricity cost for us, is an extra 2.00 per month for 24 hours.

Hope that helps-

Ok BC,

I was looking at the ones sold in Sharper Images, and wanted two....but are damn expensive.

My parents have a membership at Costco and I will buy one of these from there. I'm taking your word and your pictures for what they are worth. I sure hope you didn't doctor any of those pictures or fake the dust on those filter....I'll be one mad cookie.

If they perform as you say they do, I'll go buy another one or two for other parts of the house....

Thanks for the info.
