Contacts for extreme astigmatism?
Well I have uneven eyes as some of you may have. Most companies don't have the correct prescription for my eyes. In fact, the only company online are the Frequency Toric 55 XRs. My eyes are as follows:
Left: Cylinder -325 and axis 015
Right: cylinder -150 and axis 170
Now, my left eye doesn't need as strong a prescription, so if I order the Frequency XRs, I have to order those for my right eye only and I have to order a "normal" toric lens by Acuvue, B&L, or even the regular Frequencies.
Does anyone have as strong astigmatism as I, and know of a brand that is comfortable. I have used two brands thus far, and both dry out easily and vision gets blurry constantly. I am willing to pay a hefty amount for extremely comfortable contacts. Any info? Thanks.
One note: I do not wish to go back to my optometrist as they lied to me about a deal with ordering contacts.

what's your spherical power?
one of the newer one is Acuvue Advance Toric. Unfortunately, it's only for your left eye.
consider hard contact lens for your eyes as they are good for astig
you can also do Ortho K
go see a different eye doc if you don't like your current one.
as for the dry eye, there are treatments for this. it may be more than just dry eyes as other surface condition also cause irritation.
lastly, consider LASIK (may not be the best thing for dry eyes though)

Any good hard lenses you can suggest?
i don't remember my numbers... but i use frequency.. thats what my doctor suggested... my astigmatism isn't that bad tho... but honestly i don't like the frequency contacts to much..
1. they dry out real quick
2. they irritate my eyes all the time (while indoors) when i'm outdoors it's fine
3. my eyes get red a lot...
4. i can't really read a book with them on, cause when i'm focusing it gets irritating and starts to get blurry...
they bug me enough that when i'm home, i always take them out..

you won't like hard lens unless you wear it everyday.
also, there are so many treatments for dry eyes now. changing contact lens is just one solution.
Not so bad for me (1.25 to 1.75 Sph) but I have worn non-astigmatism correcting contacts before and that worked for the purpose of sports. Depending on your purpose, perhaps you could live with less correction?
