Anyone here watch The Contender. It's one of the only "reality" TV shows out there worth watching, IMO. It captures all the elements that made "Rocky" a great movie. So, if you watch it, who do you think will win... my money is on Jesse or Alfonso.

check out the Jesse vs. Anthony fight. Jesse (in the stars and stripes) needed to knock out Anthony (in the black trunks). Anthony, who's fighting to win a million bucks so he can spend more time with his kids (he's a single dad), came out swinging.

 

jesse's tha man.. that guy can knock down some serious stuff.. i rooted for him when he was about to be knocked the crap out of..

he came back with that super upper cut

 

I agree. The Contender is probably the only reality show that appeals to me because of it's "reality" and the fact that every guy on there is an average joe.

Got hooked after the second episode, and haven't stopped watching since. I'm still baffled why it's one of the lowest rated reality shows. Maybe NBC had a bad marketing campaign?

Regardless, Peter Manfredo is looking pretty tough. I'm willing to bet he'll pull it off.

the look in Bonsante's eyes when he was trying to get up was pricless. he had absolutely no clue where he was. i never really like him anyhow. my money is on Manfredo.

also you can go onto the Contender site and vote for the undercard matches before the main event. Vote for Hellraiser Fraser. He woulda been tough to beat but came down with the Chicken Pox and was forced to retire from the show before he could even fight his first bout.

 

oh, and as for being the only 'reality' tv show worth watching, i'd have to disagree.

Anybody watch the 'Deadliest Catch' on Discovery i think it is? A six part reality series about Alaskan King Crab fishing. It's really a great show...

 

Contender is awesome...
The most underated reality Show I would say.
I'm thinking Alfonso will take it.

 

My money's on The Latin Snake. The fastest hands of the remaining 4, and the most cerebral of the bunch. As with many other sports, boxing's 90% mental. And his heart's big...maybe even bigger than Fonso's.

On a side note, I tried to get tix for the Contender final on May 24th (a Tues nite ), and they were sold out. They had some 1st row press seats on eBay going for @ $3K.

BTW, don't forget Tito vs Winky Sat nite on PPV. Gonna be a helluva fight...

 

I'm calling Tito...10th round KO.
I really want to see an upset and Winky win but Tito hits like a heavyweight. If he connects, it's light out.
C'mon Winky!!! Let's see an upset!

 

My money is still Jesse. He's a good boxer, hits HARD and can take a punch.
