Yeah because the insurance companies have never heard that one before . FYI for every lawyer you can find the insurance company's have 10 on staff or retainer.

Legalbill's letter was excellent. I work for an insurance company and found his letter to be very good. I would personally use it should I ever run into an issue. With some choice edits of course

Thanks. As for the insurnace company lawyers, the best thing you can do is get their attention. When they see a claims person screwing around to short change an insured out of $1000, they usually advise the claims manager to pay the claim.

Of course, in this case, the claims handler will have to give this letter to the claims manager and that person will likely authorize a few more $$ rather than give it to legal.
