That was totally unnecessary. Being caught on camera, he probably was punished in one way or another. Animal abusers should be partnered with a K-9 dog.

People who have some deep hatred for cops obviously are people who are doing something wrong or take things too personal. If a cop wants to pull me over for matching the description of someone else, so what? I'll be polite and answer any questions he has. 99% of the time nothing out of the ordinary will happen.

There is always the very slim chance a cop may just be completely out of line.

Be polite and don't act like a douchebag and you should be fine.

i love how all these videos show a few cops over america doing some wrongdoings but where are all the good heroic videos? i am friends with a bunch of cops here and none of them are douche bags and actually do very good work on our "bad" side of town.

i've also never had a problem being harassed either. i've been pulled over many times and talked to on the street many times but i'm always myself and never a smartass or anything like that and they are always cool with me.

 

police officers profile for a reason. im sorry but its a necessary evil. certain ethnic groups commit more crimes than others. well some would say they jsut get caught more. w.e. How old are you OP? its true younger people get pulled over and do get profiled. shit im brown (indian) and ive been profiled before too. but plain and simple if your not doing anything wrong your not getting a ticket or anything else most likely.

I have never gotten a ticket that i didn't fully deserve. and many cops have let me go on BS front plate/ tint tickets. what you should be more pissed about is that you live in CALI. Cali is the nazi state against cars. And your LAPD sucks. NYPD, Nassau, and Suffolk county have a much better rep than cali cops. And from the original post those cops were weak. many cops i know would have beat the fck outta them.

 

My emphasis here is not that ALL cops are bad, I am saying that the bad ones usually get off very very easy for seroious abuse and crimes of their power. Maybe my beef is unclear, the day when bad cops are held fully accountable for their actions, just as someone without a badge would be, then I will have more faith and respect for cops.

Its beyond contestatoin that cops get off far too easy for committing crimes and abusing their power. Most get paid vacatoins, "asked" to resign, some may be fired and in very, very rare cases prosecuted... and this is usually only if strong media attention is brought upon their crime.

Cops need to enforce the law and stop acting as if they are the law, judge and jury. They need to obey the traffic and other laws just as anyone else would, and not act like they are above it just because they will get special treatment. They need to set an example.

I have seen cops speed and run redlights without their lights on countless times, I have seen them illegally parked many times just to go to a coffed shop.

And also, real police work would be nice, profiling does not fit that description, lets look at me and the countless examples of harassment. Beforehand, I know my negative attitude would imply disrespect and previous trouble.. none is true. When cops pull me over, I am always respectful and compliant. I also know my rights so if i choose NOT to speak to a cop then that is also within my legal rights to do so. Since I have been pulled over, at this point, if I have done something illegal, my choice to remain silent should not obstruct with his ability to enforce any law which I may have broken.

"Gotcha Games" are bullshit and too many pigs play them. A gotcha game is when a cop pulls you over presuming you may have done something, althought he has no facts at this point., to trick you into admitting guilt. Skip the bullshit, if I have done wrong the write the ticket and call it a day, if not, then dont pull me over in the first place.

So the day they respect themselves and their position of power by not abusing it, I will have a newfound respect, but when they continually are allowed to have shit brushed under the carpet because of their badge, my attitude will not change.

My most recent one, which was thrown out of court, was for obscured license plate. The pig tailgated me for several miles before finally pulling me over on that BS reason. I was completely silent for the whole stop and said NOTHING to the officer at all except when he asked "Do you know why I pulled you over" ,I answerd, "No, officer, I dont know why you pulled me over". I did have a camera on and in court th judge actually scolded him for tailgating me for so long then giving a BS reason to pull me over.

In court he tried to say I was difficult and was not compliant, rude and mouthy. The video clearly showed otherwise, I provided documents when he asked for them, was not rude or talking back like he said. He really looked bad talking all that shit then a video proving otherwise, clearly being silent and giving the documents like he asked for.

I was not speeding, I did not commit any crimes, nor have I ever. I did not break and traffic laws or do anything to deserve that harassment... Shit like this should carry a cash penalty for the cops or some kinda disciplinary action instead of a slap on the wrists.
