Default costco?

anyone here a member? Is it worth it? I have never been in one. It is about half an hour from my house.....I have been in SAM's and everything is packaged in bulk.

I don't need 40lbs of Pickles or 20gallons of Ketchup.

is Costco different? My buddy swears by the place.... i think the cheap fucker even gets his cloths there..???

anyway....anyone have any experience? I was thinking about maybe wasting part of my weekend looking around but didn't want to waste the time if it sux.

I shop at Costco and highly recommend it. I like a lot of the food they sell and they have a lot of stuff I can't find in a regular supermarket. Also good if you're looking for a cheap TV or something

Costco member here. They're great for things like paper goods, produce, liquor, electronics. Just have to be careful cause they have some good deals there and you'll wind up buying crap you don't need.

Also, our Costco sells gas and they are typically at least $.10/gallon cheaper than the cheapest gas station. Your membership pays for itself in the gas savings alone.

I shop at Costco as well. Not everything is sold in bulk quantities more suited to a restaurant-- for grocery items, they are typically only 2x the size of what you'd buy in a grocery store.

They also have some pretty good deals on flatscreen TVs, computers, etc... even jewelry, if you're a cheap bastard.

I get all my motor oil from Costco (Chevron).

The long lines are no fun though. And they don't take Visa or MC-- ATM, cash, or American Express only.

I completely agree with this, but as far as I know (with the exception of ethnic foods) there are no family owned food stores anywhere around me (N. Dallas), I personally feel Costco is a fantastic store and well work the money!

I've been to their share holders meetings and if their 'cheap ass clothes' are good enough for a CEO of a large company, their good enough for me (plus they have lots of other brands if that's important to you?)...

I don't buy everything there, mainly sodas, beer, cat litter, coffee (fresh roasted in my local store!), some meats/seafood (they are based out of the Seattle area and have some great deals on salmon!)

The money I save on soda and coffee makes up for the price alone!

Also, Costco treats their employee's much better than wal-mart/sam's, just ask someone who works their how they like it, I'd bet 95% or more would say they very happy!

I really like the 1 gallon container of Blue Diamond Wasabi Almonds. They last about one football game.

I shop at Costco... things last long and you'll save some $$ with the high quantity. In my house we go shopping maybe every three weeks.

BTW the Gas is cheaper At least here in Florida it is!

and Clothes You'd be surprised they have Calvin Klien and stuff. You just can't try the stuff on!

Costco rules! I have been a member for 9 years now - can't say enough - yes and GAS is cheaper there in Tennessee as well. A gallon of mustard... no. A pallet of beer... yes.
